VINTAGE NOVEL PRODUCTS CORPORATION "SUE AND SAL THE SNAP-ON SISTERS" 2 PAPER DOLLS WITH CLOTH CLOTHES
I am still working on liquidating my late sisters collections and many of you who have been following my listings and I wish to THANK YOU, ALL!  Since I am not a collector I do have to apologize for my lack of knowledge on this subject.  If I have grossly misstated anything in the description it is fine if you want to correct me.  I am now working on a 'new' bundle of paper dolls and other items that I just took into my possession, have fun exploring them right along with me!!
This set is titled "SUE AND SAL THE SNAP-ON SISTERS" PAPER DOLLS MADE BY NOVEL PRODUCTS CORPORATION.  The reference guide I am using has the set shown in the guide but it is the ONLY Paper Doll set shown that the company ever made.  I could not find any other direct information about the company.  This set is titled, "SUE AND SAL THE SNAP-ON SISTERS" which offers a unique method of attaching the paper dolls' clothing using snaps.  Each doll has 2 snaps permanently attached to the dolls.  The snap covers do remove and that is when the dolls can be dressed.  There is nothing to cut, sew, tape or glue.  The clothing is not paper but real cloth dresses, blouses, skits, pedal-pushers, and collars and even pockets too.  Some of the clothing has been taped to the backing for the purpose of displaying well.  I am unsure if all of the clothing is with the set but will include all that is pictured.  The paper dolls, SUE and SAL are 11 1/2 inch tall dolls.  Sue does have a crease line on one of her legs at her knee.  The doll set comes in an original SUITCASE style box.  The lid of the box does have 3 corners that are split and a tear on one of the end flaps and one close the the snap closure of the lid.  The box originally had a metal handle but the handle and one of the brackets for holding the handle in place is missing.  On the reverse is of the box (suitcase) are replica stickers indicating the owner of the suitcase had traveled by United Airlines and even been on the Burlington Route passenger train.  There is even a replica
sticker for THE DRAKE in Chicago, a Lake Shore Drive hotel which opened its doors in 1920 and is still opened today and is now owned by Hilton Hotels.  The Suitcase style box measures 13 1/2 by 10 1/4 inches.  The set was made for children 3 to their teens.
Keep in mind this is the only Paper Doll Set possibly made by this company, so it may truly be one that is hard to find.
