EIL Instruments PV-1 5 15kV High Voltage Detector Line to ground Kilovolts Tesla

High Voltage Line to Ground Detector, PV-1 from EIL Instruments, Inc. Has 2 ranges 5kV and 15kV. I am selling this as not working, because I have no idea how to safely test this.  It looks in very good
condition
and was stored inside. Missing the pole which would go between the two ends. Not sure if this could be used with a Tesla coil, but I believe main purpose was to check high voltage lines. Obviously-use or test at your own risk, as I do not know how this was used, or how to use.  Only history I know of, is it was in a Lot that I bought years ago from a company that worked around coal mines. They closed and I acquire one Lot of various equipment-mostly blasting machines,
sequential
timers and rock stress gauges. The measuring
instruments
were in cases which I sold, and appeared in excellent condition (stored inside). If you are just looking for an older analog gauge-this one in kilovolts, looks pretty cool!
