Description

Hi!  This is my 1951 ESTHER WILLIAMS COLORING BOOK Auction.  Most of my collection I purchased in the 70s, 80s, & 90s, but a few more in the early 2000s so even though I'm pretty sure this set is ORIGINAL, I'm not ruling out
REPRINT  because I'm not an expert, just a collector.   The number on the front cover on the top left hand side is 1591-15 (Pic.1).  Book measures 15x10 & 1/2 approximately (closed).
1951 ESTHER WILLIAMS COLORING BOOK has 47 pages total -  10 pages are colored - 4 pages are semi-colored -  ALL pages have yellowed/darkened - are in very fragile deteriorating condition (this book IS 70 years old, after all)
Front Cover - overall shopworn from age -  deteriorating on all the edges and particularly on all four corners - bottom right corner has crease and tends to bend inwards a bit  (Pics.1 thru 4 from different angles) - colors are good, not as bright as they were in 1951 -  on the bottom left corner is the Merrill logo and to the right of that it says "METRO-GOLDWYN-MAYER STAR" (Pic.1).
Inside Front Cover - top left corner chipped - bottom left corner has crease and tends to bend out a bit - bottom right has beginning split - top right has beginning split as well (Pic.5) - also towards the mid-bottom we have a drawing by our original little owner (Pic.5)  - across to the right is the Title Page which is colored (Pic.5).
Back Cover -  identical to the Front Cover - overall shopworn from age (Pic.6) - a little deterioration on all edges/corners - top left corner has crease and tends to bend inward a bit (Pic.7).
Inside Back Cover - a little deterioration on all edges/corners - bottom left corner starting to split - some more drawing by our original little owner - a darkening shade of stain lengthwise on the left side - across on the left side is the last page which is colored (Pic.8).
The Spine - all three original staples still holding - spine itself: on top starting to deteriorate slightly (Pic.9) - middle section (Pic.10) shows the staples have darkened - bottom section has much more deterioration going and a split starting from the bottom (Pics.11,12 from different angles).
I counted 47 pages total, 10 pages colored, and 4 semi-colored pages not counting the colored Title Page.
