BI-LFDXQ-070 Hot 12" Belt Grinder Serrated Contact Rubber Wheel For 2" x 82" Knife Useful Specification& Feature: This wheel is 12" in diameter and made of serrated medium density rubber. It has two large 6206 bearings installed in the hub. The 6206 bearings have a 1.18" （30 mm） bore. The hub is cast aluminum and the bearing bore is precision machined. The bearings are press fit into the hub and shoulder against internal retaining rings. The retaining rings sit in a slot cut inside the hub. There is a heavy machined spacer in the hub between the bearings so you cannot squeeze the bearings together and over tighten them with a bolt. The hub has a few scratch marks and sometimes some small porosity spots but they are only cosmetic.

The concentricity of this wheel is excellent.
Contact wheel- The lower wheel in a set up that is used for hollow grinding. It may be either a driven or idler wheel, depending on your set up, usually driven.If an idler it will either have bearings in it so it may spin on a fixed shaft or be keyed to a shaft that spins.
Idler wheel- A wheel that has bearings in it or is secured to a shaft that spins in bearings and is driven by the sanding belt, not shaft or motor
Drive wheel- A wheel that does not have bearings in it and is secured to the shaft, either directly to a motor shaft or to a shaft driven by a pulley or coupling. The drive wheel is often keyed to the shaft with a 3/16" woodruff or square key. Drive wheels, by definition, never have bearings in them.
